Williamsburg. . . June 7. . . The only exploit worth notice,
which this gallant army, under Generals Clinton and
Cornwallis (said to consist of 4 or 5000 men) have
performed, since their arrival in Cape-Fear, has been to
burn down the house of Brigadier-General Howe, after
stabbing one woman, wounding a second with a musket ball,
and knocking four teeth out of another. -- Well may the old
song be now applied,
Britons where's your great magnanimity!
Where's your wonted courage flown!
